Fort Collins Boys & Girls Club Opens Hoel’s Gymnasium

Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County had a grand opening for their newly renovated Gymnasium at the Fort Collins Club, located at 1608 Lancer Drive, on Friday December 13, 2019. The renovated gymnasium features newly painted walls, bleachers and floor. There are new basketball backboards and scoreboards. Each wall is decorated with inspiring words including, “friendship, teamwork, kindness, honesty and cooperation.”  

“We are thrilled about the opening of this new gymnasium! Our gym needed to be updated and this new space is going to be a great place for our kids to play sports, participate in group games and enjoy each other’s company ,” said Kaycee Headrick, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County. “We are so thankful to the Hoel family for their support of this renovation and their continued support of our Clubs.”

In Larimer County, BGCLC is the only comprehensive, facility-based, out-of-school program that includes meals, diverse positive youth development programming, and mentoring for only $20 a year. BGCLC provides services in Fort Collins, Estes Park, Loveland, and Wellington and serves over 3,000 youth annually.
