Social-Emotional Programs
Social-emotional skills are a vital component of youth development. These skills help youth develop a positive self-image, work and play well with others, increase self-control, manage stress, build character, and much more.
At Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County, our Behavioral Health Team members support youth through one-on-one and group counseling, play therapy, and by offering social-emotional learning activities.
Through social-emotional learning, Club youth may learn:
- Kindness
- Anti-bullying
- Resiliency
- Emotional Regulation
- Stress Tolerance
- Interpersonal Skills
- And more!
Christine Cunningham, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and BHT Director, was recognized with the “Best of Colorado Afterschool Program Director” award by the Colorado Afterschool Partnership.
Our team was also recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America with the National Roxanne Spillett Honor Award for Trauma-Informed Practice & Youth Well-being.
