Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County Raise More Than $170,000 at Great Futures Gala

Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County’s 2019 Great Futures Gala, presented by exclusive title sponsor Bank of Colorado and PFS Insurance Group, was held at The Hilton Fort Collins on Friday, September 6. All proceeds from this event will support Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County’s programming.

The Great Futures Gala was hosted by Kevin & Kristin Brinkman and Jay & Nancy Hardy. The event included dinner, live and silent auctions, a paddle raise, the premiere of the Great Futures video, and entertainment by Funky Business.

Colorado State University President, Joyce McConnell, accepted the award for Partner of the Year, while the Schrader Family accepted the award for the 2019 Champion for Children. Both CSU and the Schrader Family have been longtime partners of Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County and were recognized for
their outstanding contributions.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Albert Y. Bimper Jr., PhD. Growing up , Dr. Bimper attended Boys & Girls Club in Arlington, TX, and now serves as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and the Department of Athletics at Colorado State University. He has previously been a collegiate athlete playing
football for Colorado State University and then playing professionally for the Indianapolis Colts.

Boys & Girls Club’s Board Member, Kyle Schrader who accepted the award for the Schrader family expressed his admiration for the Boys & Girls Clubs, “This event is such a positive community gathering and all to support the great work of Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County. There is no place I would
rather spend my Friday evening then helping to raise funds and awareness for this great organization.”
