Youth Explore Careers at Dohn Construction
Summer of Discovery, our popular middle school program that combines academic enrichment and career exploration, is in full swing! Last week, youth in the program got the chance to visit an active construction site with Dohn Construction.

All decked out in safety gear, the youth were given a tour of the site and a peek at apartment buildings in different stages of completion. Seeing the project in progress heightened curiosity and spurred great questions from participants as they explored! Later in the “Construction” themed week, volunteers from Dohn Construction helped guide participants in designing and building their own bird houses!

Celebrating A Successful Night To Support Our Future Leaders!
Our Spring Soirée: A Night to Support Our Future Leaders sponsored by Bank of Colorado and PFS Insurance, was a huge success! We exceeded our fundraising goal, raising over $150,000 to support youth in Larimer County! A huge thank you to our amazing supporters and sponsors who made this event one for the books! More than 300 people came out to The Ranch Events Complex for the event that featured our senior Youth of the Year, Jose, and celebrated the opportunity to support other future leaders in our midst. We are so proud to be part of such a generous community!

Collaborating To Steward Public Lands in Loveland

BGCLC is proud to be part of a collaboration headed up by the City of Loveland, Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, and Big Thompson Watershed Coalition to engage the Loveland community in stewardship of the city’s increasingly stressed public lands. Funded in part by a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado, the effort includes opportunities for BGCLC members at our Loveland Pulliam Club to participate in stewardship activities including invasive species removal, habitat restoration, native seed collection and propagation, and more. We’re excited to be a part of such an expansive community collaboration effort which also includes our long-time community partner: Loveland Youth Gardeners. We look forward to learning about and participating in the stewardship of public lands in Loveland!
