COVID-19 and Our Community Response

In light of the School District’s decision to extend spring break until March 27 in efforts to help slow the spread of the virus, we also made the difficult decision to close all Larimer County Clubs until March 27. We will reopen normal operating hours once schools are back in session.

These are unprecedented times and we are doing everything we can to navigate this situation in the best way for our community and young people. Now more than ever, we are committed to our mission of serving the youth in Larimer County. We have started a number of initiatives to help young people and the community during these difficult times.

First, we are working with local food distribution organizations to see if we can leverage our Club facilities as food distribution sites.

Second, we will be creating daily videos that are fun and engaging outlining activities that Club members can do at home. These videos will be posted every morning and will also offer a daily schedule as a resource for families. These activities will include lessons in cooking, academic challenges, physical games and art projects. Families will be able to use these videos as resources while school and Clubs are closed.

And finally, selected Club staff members will be providing in-home childcare for health professionals, so that these professionals can go to work and not worry about childcare.

We will continue to provide updates on our website and social media channels as soon as they become available. We are confident that as a community we will see our way through this challenging time and come out better and stronger than before.

Thank you for your continued support throughout these unprecedented times.
