2025 Youth of the Year - Genesis
Genesis has been a wonderful addition to the Sage Homes Wellington Club over the last couple of years. She demonstrates all of the qualities that being a Club member is about: honesty, respect, hard work, and an open heart. These qualities are not only shown at the Club but are also reflected in her school work, after-school activities, and in her high standards for herself and her future. Genesis sees herself becoming a vet when she is older because of her great love of animals.
2024 Youth of the Year - Wesley
Wesley has been a Club member for 10 years. He is a resilient young man who has overcome major obstacles in his young life, and yet he always sees the best in everyone and everything. His genuinely positive outlook on life is infectious and has a way of picking others up around him. He demonstrates our core values daily, and is an outstanding role model for our youth at Club. Wesley sees himself as a future firefighter.
2023 Youth of the Year - Jose
Jose has been attending the Club since he was nine. Every day when Jose first arrives, he seeks out every staff member to say hello. When he isn’t in the gym practicing for his next basketball game, he works with the Keystone Leadership Program, attends youth diversity conferences, and brightens everyone’s day with a smile and a laugh. Jose wants to go to college for a medical degree to become either a doctor or a surgeon.
2022 Youth of the Year - Ashley
Ashley has been a member of the Harmony Village Club for six years and is in 7th grade at Boltz Middle School. Her favorite thing about Club is being able to participate in sports while also participating in art programs. The team at Harmony Village describes Ashley as outgoing, friendly, kind, and helpful. Her desire to help others has inspired her to want to become a therapist in the future.
2021 Youth of the Year - Leslie
Introducing the 2021 Youth of the Year, Leslie! Leslie was one of the founding members at the Harmony Village Boys & Girls Club, and has been attending for six years. The Club gives Leslie a place where she can feel safe, needed, and like she belongs. She has been able to learn skills in perseverance, problem solving, and most important to her, courage.

Chuck Mayhugh
There aren’t many people more devoted to Boys & Girls Club than alum Chuck Mayhugh, who has been a Club member since 1954. Having grown up in Indiana in the 50’s, there was a deep division between races. All of those differences stopped when the Club door opened.
