Ways to Volunteer

Ways to Volunteer

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County we do our best to help you find the perfect volunteer fit. We provide a variety of ways to get involved. Here are some ways you can help. If you have additional skills and/or ideas, please let us know! Individuals 18 years and older who wish to volunteer with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County are required to pass a criminal background screening at their own expense. This screening is completed easily on-line through Verified Volunteers and costs approximately $20. Be sure to use Good Deed Code 5k37o5s to get verified today!

Volunteer Mentors

Mentors act as friends and advisers, encouraging and supporting their mentee toward good citizenship and academic success. Volunteer Mentorships are less formal than traditional mentor/mentee relationships.

Program Volunteers

Volunteers assist with programs that help develop skills for good character and leadership, healthy lifestyles, and academic success. Volunteers can teach programs of their own design, such as knitting, dance or photography.

Support Volunteers

Volunteers with special skills help with marketing, fundraising, volunteer leadership, and newsletters. Support volunteers serve multiple BGC locations including the Program Support Center.

Corporate Volunteers

Volunteers from our business community volunteer for special project days in the Clubs such as Scrub-A-Club, track and field days, and report card parties. Special projects can be custom designed to fit the group's’ skill set.

Special Event Volunteers

Volunteers have the opportunity to help with several special events throughout the year, such as our Youth of the Year Breakfast, Fall Showcase Art Fair, Day for Kids STEAMFest, Summer BASH, and/or community fair and festival booths.

Community Service Volunteers

Community service opportunities are available for school, work, or other requirements on a request basis.
