Through a unique partnership with Poudre School District, Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County was able to examine academic growth of highly engaged Club members (youth attending the Club at least two times a week or more). These highly engaged members were compared to a control group of their peers who have similar demographics, but do not attend Boys & Girls Clubs. Research conducted illustrates the academic growth in the subject areas of reading and English, and are measured by standardized test scores. The results from this research demonstrated that highly engaged Club members experienced more gains in these subject areas as compared to their peers who do not attend Boys & Girls Clubs.
